The articles of Bowler's Bulletin are meant to be in jest and humorous, but the timing of our new begining coincided with the loss of our Mom, Janet Bowler. These past couple of months and this past week had been one of the toughest I've ever experienced, but with the help of Dad, Chris, my family, and my brother and sisters, somehow I got through it. Please keep Mom and Dad in your thoughts and prayers.
Mom loved to shop and buy items she didn't neccessarily need, but the thought of saving money through a sale or coupon instigated the purchase. I had a thought...let's start an accumilitive tribute to the one thing Mom loved to do. How about if everyone who reads this goes out and buys something on sale or with a coupon, responds with what they bought and how much they saved. I'll keep a running tally and let's see if we can get it up to $100. Let the shopping begin. Sorry Mom, your purchases up there don't count. We love you.

Joe and I went out and bought bedroom furniture this weekend at a discount clearance center - looking up what we purchased online, looks like we saved around $700! No coupons needed, just good bargaining skills.
Just went grocery shopping and saved $7.53 in coupons...on stuff we really needed too!

i went to the supermarket the other night and they had a sale on 12-packs of soda: buy 2, get 3 free! i got 5 12-packs of soda for only $10. savings: $15.
Gotta love Kohls - went and bought Aaron two pairs of slacks (yes, I said "slacks" ...) They were $45 each - BOGO free!!! Two for the price of one - savings: $45
I saved $10 on dog food and I know that Angie also has a $5 coupon!!
I had two coupons for dog food - free 8oz (16.49 value) and a $5 off (thanks to Aunt Jane). So 21.49 in dog food! Whoo-hoo! All of these savings are really eye openning to how much things are marked up! Whoa!
