Bowlers Go Green

After years of using a gas guzzling, energy wasting, ozone
depleting engine driven lawn mower, the Bowlers have retired that
mower for a human pushing manual mower. "I figured with the
amounts of lawn we've had over the past few years", Mr. Bowler
reports, "We are probably saving over a gallon of gas every 10
years or so". Lucky for them, with gas prices soaring up to $4
a gallon, that's a savings of just over 40 cents a year. This
change will make their carbon foot print smaller, maybe by the
size of a corn, but still smaller. Al Gore would be so proud.

The Bowlers challenge their loyal readers to come up with other
ways reduce energy use.

I drank out of the same glass twice today. Keeping that one glass out of the dishwasher is my way of keeping our world green. The sad part is you probably paid for that mower and I have one at my house you could have had for free.

I remember using a push mover at the house before...maybe Germany. I don't know if it's to be "green" or because we are trying to save our money, but Joe drives my car to work...And we too only use one cup a day, cloth grocery bags, efficient light bulbs and appliances, no bottled of water, etc...we definitely deserve the Al Gore award. :) Angie

I have vouched to not drive my gas guzzling truck for 120+ days.... I have "decided" to start walking more instead :)

Does this mean you have a mower availible. I need a new one because mine leaks gas and oil all over and eventually ends up in the storm drain. (kind of my own little "inconvenent truth") I also need a new air conditioner because all the people around me shake their heads each time I refill my freon daily. PMB
